Developing mathematical language

28th Sep 2020

Today in numeracy our P2s were learning to represent numbers and compare. We have been practicing speaking and answering in full sentences to extend our mathematical vocabulary.😁

Developing mathematical language helps our children to recognise, create and describe patterns, which is essential for early problem solving skills. Introducing maths to children from an early age helps to develop their understanding of all elements of problem solving and reasoning in a broad range of contexts.
