Weather warning for snow and ice issued - Here we go again...

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for the North.
The Met Office say it will be in place between 3pm this afternoon (29/01/19) and 11am tomorrow morning.
There will be scattered sleet and snow showers which will be heaviest and most frequent in north and north west regions with some places in the southeast staying dry. Snow accumulation is likely on hills.
Later on tonight there will be widespread frost across the country.

There will be light snow showers tomorrow, expected to dry up by the afternoon.
Temperatures today will stay at around 3C but will feel more like -2C, dropping to 1C later on tonight but feeling more like -4C. Moving into Wednesday, temperatures will average at 0C but feel more like -4C.

What to expect
Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surface
Probably some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
