BREAKING NEWS - WE WON, 1ST & 2ND PLACE: Young Enterprise - Our stalls are up and running in Victoria Square Belfast today.

19th Apr 2018

Our team of young entrepreneurs have been busy over the last month putting together their beauty packs & stationary packs in preparation for todays selling event to the general public in Victoria Square. This forms part of money management learning, target setting, planning and negotiations - all vital skills our children need to learn to succeed in business and become tomorrows entrepreneurs. Our whole school, over the past year, have worked with The Young Enterprise Primary suite to introduce our children to business concepts at stages 1-2 of our Learner Development Journey. Each programme is tailored to it’s specific age group raising awareness, building understanding, giving students the chance to apply their skills and finally to model their competencies through starting their own business.

The Primary Journey

  1. Raise Awareness: Young people are aware of the skills and recognise their importance.  Their confidence is raised.
  2. Build Understanding: Young people understand the competencies and recognise the need for continuous personal development in order to reach their ambitions. Their aspirations are raised.
  3. Apply Skills: Young people apply the skills in new situations that require key competencies and attitudes to succeed. Their successful habits are developed.
  4. Model Competencies: Young people model the key competencies in action. They articulate and evidence understanding and application of the skills using real-life
    examples.
