This week, we proudly celebrate Deaf Awareness Week by recognising the importance of inclusion and the steps we take to support all children, especially those with hearing difficulties.

At our school, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every child feels heard, valued, and supported. For our pupils with hearing difficulties, we:

Use visual aids, clear speech, and inclusive teaching methods

Incorporate assistive technology, such as radio aids and sound-field systems

Work closely with specialist teachers and speech and language therapists

Ensure staff receive ongoing training in deaf awareness and communication strategies

Foster a culture of kindness, patience, and understanding among all children

By raising awareness and promoting accessibility, we aim to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
