Designated teachers for Child Protection

9th Sep 2022

The Role of the Designated Teacher

Every organisation that works with children needs to have a member of staff that takes the lead on safeguarding and child protection. We refer to them as a Designated teacher for child protection. Each school is required to have a nominated Designated Teacher and Deputy Designated Teacher.  This is a statutory requirement. Our Desiganted teacher is Mr McCann. Our Deputy Designated Teacher is Ms McAllister. Mrs Margaret McAlister is the designated member on our Board of Governors. If you are worried about a child or your child is worried about something then please contact the school immediately to arrange a meeting with Mr McCann or Ms McAllister. Please share this information with your child.

Child Protection/Safeguarding  - our number one priority for every child!

Please see our Child protection policy which can be found on the policies page of our school website. Paper copies are also available on request.
