Primary 1 are learning to group in 2s as part of our maths mastery programme 🔢✨
The children worked together to count and and to understand what grouping in 2s really means.
This hands-on approach supports early number sense, teamwork and mathematical language in a fun and meaningful way 😊👏
💡 Try this at home:
• Count socks, shoes or gloves and group them into pairs 🧦👟
• Count legs on animals in books or toys and talk about how many pairs there are 🐕📖
• Line up toys in groups of 2 and count how many altogether 🧸🧸
• Clap, jump or step in 2s to make counting active and fun 👏👣
Small, playful activities like these really help build confidence in early maths skills 🌈📐
