P1 Using money 🪙

15th May 2023

🪙 Year 1 are learning to recognise the value of coins. We counted out the value of the bus tickets using 1p coins. Help your child at home to revise this activity. Show them other coins and how much they are worth 👛

Why is money important to children?   Children often see adults exchange coins and notes when they buy things. As children grow and start to make choices, they learn that people, things, and money have value. These concepts form the foundation for understanding the importance of spending, sharing, and saving.
