Our children in P2 have been out for a number of walks as part of their learning in the topic areas of Important Buildings in the Lower Falls and the different types of houses in the area.
Make sure you encourage your child to look at the building's when you are outside - libraries, shops, colleges, hotels, offices etc. There's lots of construction work going on so make sure your child looks up at the skyline which is chequered with Cranes.
Our next topic is Transport. You can help support learning from home by discussing with your child the various forms of transport which can be used, from tractors to trailers, planes to boats, fire engines and ambulances, the list goes on. Why not take a walk down to the quayside at the Odyssey? Cruise ships, Military ships & Pleasure boats can often be viewed from the bridge.
