Ideas to support learning at home
💦 Bath Time Measuring Fun
Let children use cups, jugs or empty bottles in the bath to fill and pour. Ask questions like “Which holds more?” or “How many cups fill this bottle?” 🛁
🍶 Kitchen Helpers
While cooking or baking, let them help measure water or milk using cups or measuring jugs. Talk about full, half full and empty 🧁
🥤 Container Hunt
Challenge them to find different containers around the house and guess which holds the most/least, then test it!
🌿 Watering the Plants
Use a small cup to water plants and count how many cups each plant needs
🧠 Make Predictions
