P2 & P3 Shared Education with our friends in Blackmountain PS π€
π Our Primary 2 children have arrived at their Shared Education Day, full of excitement and ready for a fun-filled day of activities! ππ
From the moment they stepped off the bus, there were smiles all around as they prepared to make new friends, try new experiences, and enjoy learning together. π€β¨
πShared Education plays a vital role across Belfast and beyond, bringing children from different schools, backgrounds, and communities together. It helps to break down barriers and encourages pupils to learn with and from one another in a positive, supportive environment.
πAt the heart of Shared Education are key themes such as inclusion, respect, and understanding. Children are given opportunities to explore different cultures, traditions, and perspectives, helping them to appreciate diversity and build meaningful friendships. It also promotes community cohesion and reconciliation. By working and learning together regularly, our pupils develop trust, challenge stereotypes, and grow into more confident, open-minded individuals.
Another important theme is collaboration π€
Our school is partnered with Blackmountain PS and together we share resources, experiences, and learning opportunities, giving our children access to a richer and more engaging curriculum.
Stay tuned for more updates from their special day! βοΈπΈ on our Facebook page
