P4 Anderson Shelters 🪖
29th Jan 2026
Our Primary 4 pupils have been busy learning all about Anderson shelters as part of their work on the Second World War. Anderson shelters were small, corrugated iron structures built in gardens to help protect families during air raids, giving them a safe place to shelter during difficult times.
The children put their learning into practice by creating fantastic models at home, and we have been so impressed by the care, creativity and effort shown in each one. The results are truly remarkable replicas 👏
A huge thank you to our families for supporting the children with this project. We’re sure there was lots of teamwork, creativity and fun along the way, and it has been lovely to see such home school collaboration in action 😊
