Christmas Joy and Learning Beyond the Classroom 🎄✨
Our Year 5 children enjoyed a magical day in Belfast City Centre, filled with festive cheer and enriching experiences that extended their learning far beyond the classroom walls.
The day began with a Christmas film at the cinema, giving the children the chance to relax, laugh and share a joyful experience together. Afterwards, they visited Belfast City Hall and took in the stunning sight of the Christmas tree at before exploring the Christmas Market. The children loved browsing the stalls filled with international foods, crafts and traditions; a wonderful way to widen their cultural awareness.
Enrichment activities like this are an important part of our curriculum. They allow our children to socialise with their peers in a supported environment, develop confidence in real-world settings, and build memories that strengthen their sense of belonging within our school community.
At this festive time of year, days like these remind us that joy, connection and shared experiences are powerful tools for learning. Our Year 5s returned to school with big smiles, full hearts and a deeper understanding of the world around them. 🎅🌟
