P7 Trip to Carlingford ⛵️🌊⛰️

7th May 2024
Our P7s are having a fantastic residential trip to Carlingford as they make final memories with their friends before they leave us in June.
Why do we go on a residential?
Going on adventure-based residential trips in primary school is beneficial for several reasons:

1. **Hands-on Learning**: It offers experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom, allowing students to engage with the environment and concepts in a practical way.

2. **Team Building**: Activities such as rock climbing, hiking, or rafting foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills as students collaborate to overcome challenges.

3. **Personal Growth**: Adventure activities encourage our students to step out of their comfort zones, building confidence, resilience, and independence.

4. **Environmental Awareness**: Being immersed in nature increases students' appreciation for the environment and teaches them about conservation and sustainability.

5. **Memorable Experiences**: Adventure trips create lasting memories and bonds among classmates, enhancing the overall school experience.

6. **Health Benefits**: Physical activities improve fitness levels and promote a healthy lifestyle among children.
