✍️🗳We were delighted to welcome Fiona Payne, Senior Education and Engagement Officer for Westminster Parliament, to our school today.
Fiona delivered an engaging and informative talk on Democracy and Citizenship, helping our pupils to develop their understanding of how Parliament works and the importance of having their voices heard. It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to see how democracy works in real life and to explore the responsibilities of active citizenship.
She was joined by Paul Maskey, who generously gave his time to answer questions about his role as an MP and the work he carries out on behalf of his constituents. Our pupils asked thoughtful, insightful questions and represented our school brilliantly.
