π¨ Children’s Art in Year One π¨
In Year One we have been exploring the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood. After listening to and discussing the story together, the children set about recalling how Little Red Riding Hood looked and describing her features in detail πΊ π§Ί π π
From there, they used their imaginations to recreate a modern piece of art inspired by the character. This activity not only helped them to develop their recall and descriptive language, but also gave them the chance to express their creativity and individuality through art.
Art in the early years is so important π¨it allows children to experiment, take risks, and develop confidence while making their ideas come alive on paper. It also helps them to connect their learning in literacy with creative expression, making the story more meaningful and memorable.
We are so proud of the amazing pieces they have produced—full of colour, character, and imagination! π
