Science experiment in P3 🚢

29th Apr 2026
🚢 P3 unsinkable boats challenge!!!
Today, our classroom turned into a bustling shipyard as P3 dived into the floating boats experiment! Our topic is "Ahoy Matey," and we decided to put our engineering skills to the ultimate test.
⏰️ The pressure was on! We had a 15 minute time limit to construct our vessels. The goal? To build a ship using various materials that was sturdy enough and the optimum shape to both float and to carry a cargo of 20 marbles without sinking.
🔊 We discussed why it’s important to have strict time measures in our experiments. In science, a "Fair Test" is crucial. By giving everyone the exact same amount of time, we ensure that the results rely on the design and materials of the boat, rather than how much time we had to tinker with them. It was a race against the clock and the forces of nature!
🔎 We had some fantastic designs, some daring predictions, and plenty of splashes as we tested our ships to see if they truly were "unsinkable."
Well done, P3 sailors! You’ve shown great teamwork and fantastic scientific thinking today. 👨‍🔬👩‍🔬
