Supporting Your Child in Year 7 – Transition and Learning Through TransformED
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Year 7 and to the next stage of your child’s education! This is an important transition year as pupils move from primary to post-primary school. The TransformED approach continues to underpin learning, with a strong focus on helping young people become independent, confident, and resilient learners.
Year 7 is about settling in, building routines, and strengthening core skills while adjusting to a new environment, new expectations, and new ways of learning.

In Year 7, pupils experience:
