A huge thank you to our Literacy Leader, Mrs Peoples, who worked with the National Literacy Trust in a new project funded by digital bank Chase and supported by Puffin. We were successful in our application for a Book Vending Machine ✨️📚 Only two machines were awarded to schools in the North and St Joseph's was fortunate to be one of the recipients 🙌 The machine arrived stocked with 150 brand-new books, and it has sparked great excitement among our students. They are eagerly anticipating who will be chosen as the 'reading champion' from their class. Children win a gold coin which is used to operate the machine!
As Dr. Seuss said, "You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book!"
