Working on our numeracy + ADDING

1st Feb 2022

Children can begin to learn their addition facts once they have a good understanding of numbers and counting.  When teaching basic math skills such as addition, move at a comfortable pace for your child ensuring that they have mastered number basics and can count to at least ten.  Most children are ready to add by age 5 but may be able to understand these concepts at an earlier age.  Working with your child at home and practicing math facts can help you to know when they are ready to move from counting to learning addition facts.
